Swartz Creek Business Honors Vets And First Responders With Mural
If you are a veteran or a first responder you are loved and appreciated at Great Lakes Smoothie Co. & Eatery in Swartz Creek.
Business owner RJ Ryan has very good reasons for honoring these fine men and women. Ryan was saved by first responders in 2018 after being hit by a drunk driver while on his motorcycle. RJ lost a leg, but he did not lose his life and for that, he is beyond appreciative. According to RJ, that is not the only reason he wanted to put up the mural,
My mom was an EMT and finished her career as a nurse. My fiance Tammy is a nurse, and my dad was involved in chopper rescue in the United States Army.
We are blessed to have the first responders and all the nurses that don't get the credit they deserve. The troops keep us free and for that, I am able to live my dream of being a business owner, I am beyond appreciative.
The beautiful mural was painted by two awesome artists, Johnny Fletcher and Seba Cener. The pair were able to complete the project in just three days thanks in part to the Flint Public Art Project and Kobra Paint USA.
I saw the mural in person yesterday - and it is awesome (so was my Cherry Chicken Pecan Wrap). As you will see and read in the comments below, the mural is a hit.
Thank you to RJ Ryan and his awesome team at Great Lakes Smoothie Co. & Eatery. We love and appreciate you all.
