Last week, Carnival of Madness revealed the arsenal of rock bands that will head up their 2013 trek including Shinedown, Papa Roach, Skillet, In This Moment and We as Human. Now, the first leg of dates and locations have been unveiled. Skillet are coming off one of the bigger albums of their career and are ready to take the next step with their latest effort, 'Rise.' The disc now carries a June 25 street date and the band has selected 'Sick of It' to be the lead single off the disc.

Skillet are coming off the most successful album of their career and if they fail to meet the bar set by the last disc it won't be through a lack of trying. Singer John Cooper tells Noisecreep that the band began the process for their next album with an overabundance of tracks.

Skillet's story isn't one of overnight success, in fact, their last album 'Awake' was the band's eighth full-length release in their 15-year long career. Despite their long trip to commercial success, frontman John Cooper says they're just getting started.
