The National Weather Service confirmed two tornadoes in Mid-Michigan yesterday, including an EF-1 in Freeland with winds near 90 mph.

Michigan has already seen around 13 tornadoes in 2026, which is close to a full-year average. Two more touched down overnight in Mid-Michigan, causing damage in Durand and Bridgeport.

It hasn’t even been a week since deadly tornadoes tore through Michigan, and now another round of strong storms could move in tonight.
