Texas Sheriff Using Different Method To Slow Down Speeders
A sheriff in Texas (Not Buford T.Justice) is using an unorthodox method to slow down speeders in his county and its working.
Williamson County's Sheriff in Texas Robert Chody uses cardboard cutouts to slow down traffic in areas that are known for high accidents and school zones. The cutouts are pictures of actual officers on his staff that is holding a radar towards the oncoming traffic.
Sheriff Chody said that when you're driving between 20 and 30 miles per hour and you see the cutout you're immediately going to slow down and brake. The department ran multiple tests in the area with officers located down the road and the reports proved that the cardboard cutouts worked. There were no speeding tickets handed out while testing was done.
A very unique and different way to solve the issue of people who tend to have a little bit of a lead foot on the roadways. Be on the look out in the near future. Yikes
