Is Bart telling TV executives to eat his shorts? It kind of sounds that way.  Fox is asking its six main "voices" of show to take a 45 percent pay cut. Ay Caramba!

The studio has issued the following statement:

"23 seasons in, The Simpsons is as creatively vibrant as ever and beloved by millions around the world. We believe this brilliant series can and should continue, but we cannot produce future seasons under its current financial model. We are hopeful that we can reach an agreement with the voice cast that allows The Simpsons to go on entertaining audiences with original episodes for many years to come."

The Daily Beast is reporting that the pay cut decision was delivered this past Monday and Fox is desperately trying to cut production cost.  Right now the actors are willing to take a third of a pay cut but that is not flying with Fox executives.  As of now according to the LA Times, the actors are making six figures per episode.  Not to shabby.

I doubt the show will end, but you never know.  Money seems to have a way of screwing things up.  Do you care if the show gets canceled?
