Three State Water Parks Open This Weekend
It is going to be a hot Memorial Day weekend and you are going to want to stay cool. Thankfully, three water parks in Michigan will be open for the holiday madness.
These floating water parks look like a lot of fun and probably a bit more exciting than the average day at the beach. All three of the following parks opened today:
- Water Warrior Island in Marquette County. You can find this little gem on Lake Michigamme inside Van Riper State Park. They have a little bit of everything including 20-foot water slides, rock climbing walls, trampolines, and you can test your skill on a ninja-warrior-like obstacle course.
- Jump Island in Livingston County. Jump Island sits on Bishop Lake right inside the Brighton Recreation Area. This water park comes complete with inflatable slides and others things to test your agility and an inflatable iceberg.
- WhoaZone in Oakland County. If you make your way to Heron Beach in the Holly Recreation Area you will find this park. They have four different challenge levels and I have been wanting to try this one since I first heard about it a couple years ago.
Whatever you end up doing, have a great holiday weekend!
