John Beilein, Michigan's head basketball coach for the last 12 seasons, is leaving Ann Arbor and on his way to the NBA.

Earlier today, John Beilein told the Wolverines athletic department that he was leaving to coach the Cleveland Cavaliers. He reportedly has a five-year contract, but none of the financial details of the deal have been released to the public yet.

Coach Beilein has gone through every step of the coaching ranks -- high school, junior college, and Division III, II, and I schools. Now the legendary coach will take his offensive mind to the final stop in his coaching career.

Michigan fans like myself are a little bit in the dumps today with the news but coach Beilein has done wonders for the basketball program at Michigan. He led the Wolverines to two Final Fours, four Big Ten tournament, and regular-season titles in his tenure with the maize and blue. Good luck, coach... you'll need it in Ohio.
