Vernors Boston Cooler Flavor Launches in Michigan for a Limited Time

Vernors Boston Cooler flavor is coming to Michigan for a limited-time release.

A Boston Cooler is a true Detroit classic.

If you are new to Michigan, it's made by blending vanilla ice cream with Vernors Ginger Ale. We used to make them at home when we were kids. Now, when the craving hits, I usually stop at Halo Burger.

Excited? You do not have long to wait. Vernors Boston Cooler will be available in cans, 20-ounce plastic bottles, and 2-liter plastic bottles on Monday, July 21st, 2025.

If it is love at first drink, be sure to stock up. According to the Vernors Club Facebook page, Vernors Boston Cooler will only be available until sometime in September.

I think that this limited-time pop will go perfectly with burgers, coney dogs, and fries. Who am I kidding? A Vernors Boston Cooler probably tastes great with just about anything, maybe even with a splash of your favorite adult beverage.

Vernors got its start in Detroit back in 1866. It was invented by a pharmacist named James Vernor and has been a Michigan favorite ever since.

I know plenty of people who have moved from the Great Lakes State, and will have family ship them Vernors regularly.
If I’m ever feeling sick, the first thing I go for is a Vernors. I swear, there is magic in that can; it just makes everything feel a little better.
