School is back in session for the Vice Principals of HBO, and so is revenge. Season 2 of the Danny McBride-Walton Goggins comedy will ring its opening bell in mid-September, and there’s a freaking tiger in the first teaser!

In addition to the above teaser, HBO confirms that the second (and final!) season of Vice Principals will premiere on Sunday, September 17 at 10:30 P.M. The next run will consist of nine episodes (the entire eighteen-episode series was filmed in one go), while the first synopsis reads:

The tumultuous school year at North Jackson High continues and a new semester brings lots of changes. Gamby and Russell are about to learn that the only thing harder than gaining power is holding on to it, as the darkest comedy on television returns to finish what was started.

For those who missed the first season, McBride’s Vice Principals follows a high school and the people who “almost” run it, with McBride starring as Neal Gamby, the divorced vice principal in charge of discipline at the school. Goggins plays Lee Russell, vice principal of curriculum at North Jackson High, as both fought an epic power struggle vying for the top spot: to be school principal.

McBride executive produces alongside Jody Hill, co-creator David Gordon Green and Stephanie Laing, all Eastbound & Down alum. Stay tuned for the latest on Vice Principals Season 2 in the meantime.
