It was a wild Wednesday morning at Planet Fitness in West Bloomfield after a man went after employees and tried to run over a police officer.

According to Fox 2 Detroit, around 9:30 a.m., police were called to the gym at 6433 Orchard Lake after reports of a man punching the staff. Things didn’t stop there. He then allegedly charged at them with some kind of metal object.

When the police got to the scene, the guy was sitting in his car in the parking lot. Things went from bad to insane fast. Officers say he tried to run over one of them, smashed into a bunch of patrol cars, and then just floored it out of there.

He didn’t get far before turning the morning into a full-on episode of Cops. The suspect led the police on a high-speed chase through nearby streets, hitting more police vehicles along the way. Neighbors were probably wondering what on earth was going on.

Eventually, officers managed to stop him. He put up a fight, resisting arrest, but they finally got him into custody. He was treated for minor injuries at a hospital, and one officer also needed a trip to get checked out.
