What Would You Like To See Go Into Polar Palace Building?

On my way to Dave Knapp Used Cars in Lapeer today I drove by the now defunct Polar Palace Arena Complex and Louie's Sports Tavern on Davison Road. Both spots have been empty for years, and I am curious to hear what businesses you would like to see move into the empty buildings?

Perhaps another sports complex under new ownership? Maybe a particular type bar or r restaurant in the Louie's Sports Tavern Building? Or maybe you think they both just need to be torn down? Lapeer in my opinion has a lot to offer already - but what is Lapeer missing? I know for many years I have heard and or read that many Lapeer and or Lapeer County residents would like a Target. That space would certainly accommodate that.

What about Hobby Lobby? I myself have never been into a Hobby Lobby, but I have read social media posts about some folks wanting one in Lapeer. I was under the impression Hobby Lobby was a craft store. Turns out I was wrong - kind of. I just Googled it - Hobby Lobby does sell arts and crafts stuff, but it also has home decor? Who knew? Most likely you did. Oh well, crafts are not my thing - unless you are talking about craft beer. Wah wah.

All kidding aside, what would love to see happen to the empty buildings? You may even be thinking something other than a bar, a restaurant or store. Who knows, maybe your idea will be the winner, but just to be clear this is not a contest. Just pure curiosity. However if you are interested in purchasing both buildings, you can for just a little over $4 million dollars.
