Woman Accused Of Smuggling Drugs Into Shiawassee County Jail That Killed Inmate

Sara Yerian died of an overdose while behind bars at the Shiawassee County Jail. After an investigation, Mindy Portner has been arrested and charged, accused of smuggling pills into the jail via her vagina.

Reports indicate Sara Yerian was given the prescription pills by a woman named April Hart who received the pills from Portner. Yerian, 32, was found unresponsive in her cell this past February. First responders were not able to save her.
