WTF? Students Earn Extra Credit For Being Pepper Sprayed

Things have sure changed in terms of earning extra credit since I was in high school. I recall doing an extra book report or two, now kids are getting pepper sprayed for points. 

I don't really get the purpose of this, maybe these Barberton High School  criminal justice students were failing. What's next on the extra credit chart, tasing?
