It blows my mind that these mountain type people put so much faith in their nylon straps and hooks.  I imagine doing stuff like this is like doing hardcore drugs.  Quite a rush, but if you keep doing it long enough, you’re going to die a horrible death.

The first thing I want to say, is that Reese’s Pieces is my favorite candy.  Always has been.  But after watching this commercial, even a devout fan of the Pieces has to wonder what the hell the good people at Reese’s were thinking.

Thousand Foot Krutch will release their sixth studio album, ‘The End is Where We Begin’, without the help of a label on April 22nd. The band’s new found independence may have affected the tone of the new album, as frontman Travis McNevan explained the new songs are more aggresive in nature:

“Without trying, this record has a very militant theme to it, with songs like ‘War Of Change’ and ‘Courtesy Call’ painting more of a visual for that. There’s an urgency to it and I think the timing feels right. This record’s heart can be summed up by ‘Be The Change,’ the album’s lyric and phrase seen throughout the album artwork.”

The episode of ‘Live from the Artists Den’ featuring Kid Rock is set to air this weekend but you can watch his performance of ‘Rock and Roll Jesus’ and a cover of Elvis Presley’s ‘Burning Love’ from the show now.

Kid Rock has almost released an official live concert DVD several times but has yet to do so. Fans of Rock will get the next best thing when his appearance on the fourth season of ‘Live from the Artists Den’ premieres on public television and Hulu this Friday.

The episode was filmed at Elvis Presley’s ‘Automobile Museum’ in Graceland and to pay tribute to “The King,” Kid Rock breaks into a cover of ‘Burning Love’ while performing his own song ‘Rock and Roll Jesus.’ Check out the video below and visit ArtistDen.com for details on where and when you can see the full performance.

Coming into the public eye on the drama-filled VH1 reality series, ‘Basketball Wives,’ is Evelyn Lozada, former fiance of NBA player, Antoine Walker. With the fourth season premiering last night, Lozada is known for providing entertaining sound bytes with catchphrases such as “You are a non-mutha-f—in’ factor, bitch!” and “Stay in your lane, boo boo!”

Though the Bronx native dated Walker for 10 years,  more recently, Lozada has moved onto the New England Patriots non-factor, Chad Johnson Ocho Cinco Johnson.

Alice in Chains follow-up to 2009′s ‘Black Gives Way to Blue’ is currently in the works and bassist Mike Inez recently gave and update on how the highly anticipated project is coming along thus far.

Alice in Chains made their way back to the forefront of hard rock with their 2009 return ‘Black Gives Way to Blue’ — the first album since their final release with Layne Staley in 1995. After Layne’s tragic passing and a long period of inactivity in the AIC camp, the surviving members re-emerged with new vocalist William DuVall.

Reports of their upcoming album first surfaced last summer when Ann Wilson of Heart reported that their new material is “amazing.” Jerry Cantrell’s recent shoulder surgery may have impeded the new album plans for a bit but in a recent interview at NAMM, bassist Mike Inez revealed that things are “all good” in the world of Alice in Chains.

In the interview with Mz. Hollywood, Inez said “We’re holed up, we’re writing the new record. We’re waiting to go in the studio pretty soon — so, looking forward to it.” The in-depth interview then shifted to the question everyone has been dying to know the answer to — how does Mike keep his hair so perfect? A few weeks ago, Stone Temple Pilots‘ unreleased attempt at a music video for their 2010 single ‘Cinnamon‘ made its way to the Internet. Now, an alternate clip featuring trippy animation, a desert and a lonely Scott Weiland has surfaced — see it below.

Stone Temple Pilots released the third single from their self-titled comeback album in September 2010. ‘Cinnamon’ featured Weiland, in full-on David Bowie mode, over a bubbly Beatles-esque groove with touches of STP’s signature alt-rock magic. The band attempted to produce a music video for the single on two separate occasions, both of which garnered results the band was ultimately unhappy with and an official video for ‘Cinnamon’ was never released.

A few weeks back, one version of the video surfaced on YouTube and while the clip was not without its high points, it also had its fair share of awkwardness. Images of a sleep-singing Scott Weiland on a pile of passed out ladies is not exactly a great PR move given his history of substance abuse. The clip was eventually pulled from YouTube due to copyright issues.

Now we open a new chapter in ‘The Book of Things Never Meant to Be’ with another video for ‘Cinnamon.’ The clip features Scott Weiland wandering the desert aimlessly in black & white before psychedelic colors pour in to illuminate the bleak surroundings. The video, directed by Dennis Roberts, ends up playing more like a long-form gum commercial than a true music video.

Let’s hope Stone Temple Pilots have better creative luck with their next album, which is currently in the works, as is a tour commemorating the 20th birthday of their breakthrough debut album ‘Core.’

I’m pretty sure this is sign of the end of times.  Or at least it seems like something that would happen at the end of the world.  And I kind of hope that it does.  I mean everyone has to die, and not everyone gets to see the end of the world.  We’d be lucky to.

Football.  Hockey.  MMA.  All of these sports are in the discussion for the most bad ass sports on the planet.  But Tazer Ball takes real balls, when you take into consideration that everyone on the field is armed with a 300,000 volt stun gun.  Plus, there are your standard hits and injuries that come with any full contact sport.  It blows my mind that these dudes can get hit, get electrocuted, and get back up.

If you aren’t tuning into ‘Private Practice’ on Thursday nights, you’re not only missing out on some crazy hospital drama, but also some of the best eye candy on TV.  The female doctors are constantly turning on the sexy, and making men everywhere glad that they finally decided to watch a show with their partner.

Today’s ‘Crush,’ the lovely Caterina Scorsone plays Amelia Shepherd, a troubled young doctor who occasionally dabbles in drugs (not the prescribed kind).  What can we say, we enjoy bad girls. Especially the girls that like to play doctor. We are great at playing doctor except we always give ourselves ailments that kind of ruin the mood. It’s hard to want to get frisky after telling your partner you’re dying of testicular cancer. Real mood killer.

A lesson in so-bad-it’s-good film making, ‘Road House‘ transformed the late Patrick Swayze from the guy who starred in ‘Dirty Dancing’ into Dalton, the world’s most dangerous bar bouncer.  Seriously.

In modern-day terms, it would be like Zac Efron starring in a remake of ‘Fight Club.’ (We apologize in advance in case that movie ever happens.)

Sam Elliot, wrestler Terry Funk and the late Ben Gazzara were also featured in ‘Road House,’ but the real stars are the dialogue that offers quote after testosterone-filled quote and the constant bar fighting, which you can see below:
