It’s always good to see a group trying to make a positive difference in our community, and the Flint Fury is trying to do just that.   On May 26th, at Atwood Stadium, the Fury will put on a free football camp for youths aged 7-12.  The clinic will focus on both football and life skills, and participants will receive T-shirts, awards, and football instructions.

Space is limited for this free event and registration must be completed by May 20th.  If you are interested in getting your child involved, call 810-336-9024 or visit the website of the Fury.  Their season kicks off on June 2nd, and tickets are available for only 6 bucks.  All home games are held at Atwood Stadium.

Game of Thrones is just about to wrap up it’s second season, and if you haven’t watched it, you really are missing out.  The twins in this video are Camille and Kennerly, the most famous harp playing identical twins in the world.  Okay, maybe the only harp playing identical twins in the world, but still pretty sweet none the less.

This video makes me want to go to Cedar Point so bad.  It really is the best amusement park in the world, and if chicks are going to start pole dancing there, I’m going to get a season pass.  This chick has obviously rode her share of polls, and isn’t shy about showing her stripper moves at a family park. The thing is, is that I bet this is only like the 4th trashiest thing to happen in Cedar Point that day.

Disturbed may be on hiatus for an unspecified period of time, but vocalist David Draiman is set to return with an industrial rock project, for which he has just unveiled a whole slew of details via Twitter.

It’s amazing that Draiman can even find time to work on a new project with the feverish amount of interaction the vocalist engages in on his Twitter page. The Disturbed frontman, whose communication with fans used to be solely through his rhythmic vocal assault and trademark grunts, is now using the social networking site to get his voice out to the public, 140 characters at a time.

On any given day you can find Draiman’s lengthy thoughts on everything from his favorite albums to the complexities of the Trayvon Martin case. The singer is also pretty good about responding to Tweets from fans, a few of his recent answers have filled in the blanks on the status of his previously announced project with former Filter axeman Geno Lenardo. Draiman has described the project as being in the vain of Nine Inch Nails and Ministry.

During a recent series of Tweets, it was revealed that a lot of work has been going into the project and they are “almost ready to record” a full album. Draiman also made mention of a book he has in the works and hopes both projects will surface “around the same time.” Tracking for the new project is set to begin May 31 and to the question of when Disturbed will be recording again, the vocalist has a much less specific, saying “not anytime soon.”

Actor Nick Stahl, perhaps best known for his portrayal of John Connor in ‘Terminator 3: Rise of the Machine’ was reported missing by his wife in Los Angeles on Monday after he disappeared for five days.

Stahl’s wife, Roseann, filed a missing persons report with the LAPD on Monday afternoon after she lost contact with the actor for five days. The pair have a two-year-old daughter together.

Stahl has had a difficult year: he was arrested in January after trying to ditch a cab ride without paying and his wife filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court asking for monitored visitation between Stahl and his daughter. In addition, his much-hyped return – the Fox TV series ‘Locke & Key’ was not picked up to series despite an expensive pilot from feature director Mark Romanek.

Ms. Stahl alleges the actor has a serious drug habit and the current fear is that his addiction is behind his disappearance.

Anyone with information on Stahl’s whereabouts can contact the LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit 24-hours a day at 213-996-1800.

My Chemical Romance were forced to make a very quick decision last year after booting drummer Mike Pedicone from the band for stealing in the midst of their Honda Civic Tour dates with Blink-182. But the decision to bring in former Suicide File skinbeater Jarrod Alexander has been a solid one so far.

Guitarist Frank Iero tells Aquarian Weekly that Alexander is continuing with the group into the studio as they begin working on new music. He says, “Jarrod is a rad guy and a fantastic player. It’s been really fun making music with him these past few months. He loves coffee and hitting drums super-hard … and the fact that he’s not a thieving piece of garbage is a breath of fresh air.”

The band stepped in as a last minute substitution for the ailing Blink-182 at this weekend’s Bamboozle Festival, and Iero jokes, “Since we only had a week’s worth of notice to prepare for this show and with scheduling conflicts and all, we decided that instead of using a real-live human drummer, we are going to use the super computer from ‘War Games’ instead. However, we have nicknamed the computer Jarrod.”

As for new music, Iero confirmed that the band has been writing, but that they were at least “a month away from the record button lighting up.” The group will reunite with producer Doug McKean for the album, but do not have a set timetable as to when they expect to deliver their follow up to ‘Danger Days.’

Is Will Ferrell’s ‘Anchorman’ sequel going to be a ‘Chorus Line’-style musical? Probably not. That’s too much to ask. But that’s the vibe I’m getting off of this early teaser poster for ‘Anchorman 2,’ which may (or may not) be subtitled ‘The Legend Continues.’

The poster was tagged by The Lebanese Cinema Movie Guide (and shared via ComingSoon). It arrives just ahead of an alleged ‘Anchorman’ sequel teaser trailer that Paramount plans to attach to prints of Sacha Baron Cohen’s ‘The Dictator’ starting this week.

We haven’t seen the teaser yet, but it reportedly involves all four cast members riffing about their return. The last thing McKay told the media about the sequel, they were still hammering out the script. It’s unlikely they’ve filmed anything for the sequel besides this teaser. We’ll post it as soon as it makes it’s way online.

Until then, we have this poster. That’s Ron in the middle, with his signature red suit. Who is that on the left? They appear to have two different pant legs. That has to be Steve Carell’s dim-witted Brick, right?

We have a long time until the ‘Anchorman’ sequel reaches theaters in 2013. But between the Conan O’Brien appearance, the teaser trailer and now this poster, it’s obvious Paramount’s going to promote the daylights out of this sequel, turning it into a massive hit for the studio. Well, that’s if the movie’s any good. It has to be, though. Right?

Sebastian Bach was a busy man this weekend (May 13) at Lazerfest in Boone, Iowa. In addition to his own set, complete with very special hometown guest Corey Taylor of Slipknot, he was also pulled onstage by Five Finger Death Punch.

During his set, the always amped up Bach got the crowd going, screaming, “I remember you Iowa!” Right before he tore into the classic Skid Row anthem ‘Youth Gone Wild,’ he unleashed a little surprise of his own on the crowd. “Well it’s f—ing true what they say dreams can come true, and it can happen to you Iowa,” screamed Bach. “And you know how I f—ing know that, because one of my best rock ‘n’ roll buddies is from Iowa – give a big welcome right now to Corey Taylor.”

The Slipknot / Stone Sour frontman took to the stage and addressed the crowd, saying, “My people, what’s up!” followed by, “I don’t know why I’m here?” That’s when Bach incited the crowd, getting them to chant ‘Youth Gone Wild’ before ripping into the tune with Taylor onstage. Watch the full video of the song below.

Bach’s time on stage wasn’t done after his set though. He also made a special appearance during Five Finger Death Punch’s set. Bach shared the whole story with his Facebook followers, posting a photo and saying, “Hangin’ on the bus w/Ivan singer from 5 Finger Death Punch last night in Iowa. This band was INCREDIBLE live & great guys too! They even played a bit of ’18 & Life’ live & gave me a shoutout & brought me onstage! Thanks guys you are amazing!”

One thing is for sure, when Sebastian Bach is on the premises, there’s no telling who he’ll join on stage, whether it’s Five Finger Death Punch or one of past appearances with Guns N’ Roses and Asking Alexandria.

In related news, his special guest Corey Taylor recently announced that the new Stone Sour disc should be out in October.
