See Detroit’s Deadliest West Side Neighborhood During the Day
There are some areas in Detroit that most people will never see in their lifetime, and this is one of those areas.
Like many cities throughout the country, there are parts you simply just avoid. These are areas where crime is at an all-time high and it's just too dangerous. For the people who live in these areas, it's simply a way of life

Former police officer, Charlie Moore used to spend his time patrolling the streets of Detroit. Now he spends most of his time behind the camera as he drives through some of the roughest streets in America. Most recently, he took a drive through a neighborhood that he refers to as "Detroit's deadliest west side hood."
Now I don't know if it's actually the deadliest neighborhood on Detroit's west side or if it was worded that way for dramatic effect. Either way, from the outside looking in, it looks pretty rough around the edges.
People Don't Move Out of the Way for Cars
The one thing I found interesting was how people standing in the middle of the road don't move when cars are trying to get through. It's so bizarre. I wasn't the only one to notice this, someone on YouTube said the same thing.
Different upbringing, their mentality is “nobody cares about me so why should I care about them.
