Michigan is home to so many different types of bugs, but there is one bug that stands out among all others and it's due to its unique (and somewhat terrifying) look, its large size, and its intimidating nickname name.

Not only is this bug, the biggest in Michigan, but it can also deliver a bite that you'll never forget. This gigantic sucker will give you nightmares for days if your encounter is anything less than pleasant. Let's just hope you're wearing shoes if you do encounter this nasty guy.

What is Michigan's Biggest Bug?

The giant water bug (Belostomatidae), also known as the Toe-Biter, is indeed one of Michigan's biggest bugs. Yes, you read that correctly, it's nicknamed the Toe-Biter. You don't want to mess with anything that has "Biter" in its name.
