Peralta Misses Game Because of Food Allergy

Today the tigers suited up for a game against the Phillies, but they had to do it without their
starting shortstop Jhonny Peralta. Peralta a scratch in today’s game after whiffing on a bowl of clam chowder. According to Tiger’s manager Jim Leyland, Peralta is allergic to shellfish and added that Peralta didn’t realize it was clam chowder until he ate it. Luckily the Tiger’s didn’t need him today as they left  the Phillies “shell-shocked” 10-6.
