3 Year Old Michigan Girl Found Home Alone With Dead Mother

I absolutely hate writing about this kind of stuff because it breaks my heart so much. It's really about bringing more awareness to these kinds of situations in hopes of finding a connection with at least one person. Maybe it'll connect with one person suffering from addiction and will help to turn their life around. At least that's what I'm hoping for anyway.

According to WNEM, the Oakland County deputies were called to a home for reports of someone not breathing. When they arrived they found a 3-year-old girl home with her mother who had passed away.

It sounds like the little girl had been home alone with her dead mother for at least 2 days because a family member claims they were trying to reach her for 2 days before going to the house only to find her body.

It's also reported that the mother had a history of drug use and that several empty aerosol cans of compressed air were found near her body.

Hopefully, the little girl doesn't remember this when she gets older.

If you know someone struggling with addiction, please do what you can to help especially if they have kids. No child should ever have to remember their parent this way and again, hopefully, she won't.
