A Day to Remember are still hard at work on a new album, but guitarist Kevin Skaff was kind enough to impart the album title for their upcoming disc via a Tweet.

Skaff told fans, “ADTR ‘Common Courtesy’ … I would tell you to prepare, but you can’t prepare for this.” Skaff and his bandmates have spent a rather quiet 2012 in the studio working on their next release.

Earlier this year, the band wound down tour support for their most successful disc to date, ‘What Separates Me From You,’ by booking an early 2012 trek with Rise Against. However, their time in the spotlight shrunk a little bit with the decision to start writing and recording for their next effort.

Writing has gone well enough, though there are the occasional bumps in the road. Earlier this month, singer Jeremy McKinnon tweeted, “Just wrote a pretty cool part, then realized it was a song I knew. Then I also realized how much better what they wrote was than mine. S—.”

Though a release date has yet to be announced for ‘Common Courtesy,’ there is hope that it will be sooner than later. A good sign is that the band recently signed on to play Chicago’s Riot Fest Sept. 16, which means they may be far enough down the road on a new disc that they can at least get out for shows.
