A big shout out to former Banana 101.5 intern Craig Fenner for reminding me about this awesome Machine Shop video. Craig and his buddy Sean Stevens produced and directed the video you are about to see in 2014. Some of you may remember watching it years ago, it is just too damn good not to revisit as we celebrate the 20 year anniversary of The Machine Shop.

I could not remember if this was an assignment Craig had for school at the time, it was not. He made it at the end of his internship because he wanted to. Craig was at countless shows with the Banana crew back in the day, and I asked him about some of his favorite Machine Shop memories,

The Clutch Halloween show was epic. Seeing all the local love every time Taproot played the shop was pretty powerful to witness. Getting to watch Kevin manage so many hats on show nights and making it look effortless was pretty cool. The way Kevin interacts with his crowd and makes everyone feel at home is a priceless skill.

I hundred percent agree. Thanks again Craig Fenner for shining a light again on this awesome mini-documentary. It is cool to look back and see that eight years later, The Machine Shop is still (as Kevin Zink says in the video) 'kick-ass'.

Enjoy the video below and come out and celebrate 20 years of The Machine Shop tonight at the Who's Next Michigan Showcase featuring Avalon Black, Frame 42, and PlainView. Doors at 7:00 PM - only $5 (18 years of age and up).
