Apparently, General Motors and Michelin are combining forces to attempt what seems impossible...defeating Michigan roads.

The two companies are working together on the Uptis Prototype (Unique Puncture-Proof Tire System).

According to WXYZ, Michelin and GM are testing the Uptis Prototype, starting with vehicles like the Chevrolet Bolt EV. Later this year, the companies will initiate real-world testing of Uptis on a test fleet of Bolt EV vehicles in Michigan.

In the video above, you'll see these tires can handle a lot including potholes, punctures and whatever else Michigan through its way. Not to mention, a hell of a lot safer for drivers, passengers since you wouldn't be dealing with flat tires and blowouts.

I'm not a car enthusiast or anything like that so I don't know much about tires but it sure seems like a great idea to me.
