Alleged Police Brutality Caught on Video in Downtown Flint
A video of a man being arrested on Saginaw Street in Downtown Flint has some claiming police brutality.
Rather than speculate on the details of what does or does not take place in this video, we'd rather just let you watch it and judge for yourself. We have no idea what happened prior to what is seen on the video, which cuts out for a few, seemingly, crucial seconds when the person behind the camera decides to approach the situation.
The incident took place on Friday, January 13th, 2017 on Saginaw Street, directly across from the flat lot in Downtown Flint. According to YouTube comments and those on other threads where the video has been shared, the man being arrested is named Antwan. It is also said that he is a regular downtown, and that he may have a history of mental illness. Before you call us "fake news," keep in mind that we're telling you that none of that info is confirmed -- that's just what we gathered from the community chatter.
You can hear the suspect threaten the officer's life shortly after the woman behind the camera identifies herself as a "human rights observer." We'll update this story if more information becomes available.
