‘American Pickers’ Heading to Michigan in Search of Forgotten Treasures
The American Pickers are on a mission to find those hidden gems amongst piles of junk in Michigan once again.
The stars of the popular History Channel show American Pickers are set to return to Michigan in May to film. According to the Ionia Chamber of Commerce, the stars of the show will be picking their way through Ionia County in the spring.
The show, one of the History Channel's longest-running shows now entering its 23rd season, has actually filmed in Michigan once before. The episode "The Michigan Madman" was filmed in Canton and was part of the 20th season airing in May of 2019.
American Pickers follows its stars, Mike Wolfe, Danielle Colby, and Robbie Wolfe, as they venture out on the back roads from coast to coast for some ultimate antiquing. Their journey has them on the hunt for America’s most valuable antiques by exploring uncovering unique collections and learning the interesting stories behind them. They search junkyards, basements, garages, and barns looking for "buried treasure" and hoping to restore those forgotten relics to their former glory.
The gang is looking to connect with some Mid-Michigan area folks that have
a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the Pickers can dive into and spend part of the filming day looking through for a possible feature on the show.
If you think you have what they are looking for, or have a lead on someone that might send your name, phone number, location, along with a description of the
collection and photos to, americanpickers@cineflix.com. You can also give them a call (646) 493-2184, or connect with them on their Facebook page here.
