10 Annoying Phrases Michiganders Need to Ditch
We all see things on social media that drive us a little nuts occasionally, including phrases that some people just can't seem to let go of. We're talking about phrases that have become popular over the years, really just trendy terms that we're all guilty of using, including myself.
I think you'll agree that the world would be a place without some of the terms that we have listed below.
- "Adulting" - This is just dumb. I wish people would stop using this phrase right now. This is one you'll never catch me using.
- "I did a thing" - People use this when they want to show off or show people something they did but don't want to seem too braggy.
- "This" - This is for lazy people that want to show you something without saying anything about it.
- "Fur baby" - This was a cute way of describing your pets. Notice I said was.
- "So that happened" - This one isn't so bad and not overly used. It can sometimes be used to explain an unexpected or embarrassing moment which of course, is funny.
- "I'm not crying, you're crying" - This is just another way of letting people know that you're a normal human being with emotions. I've tossed this around a time or two.
- "I'm just gonna leave this here" - We've all used this a time or two when show something that you don't have words to describe it. You know, the content speaks for itself.
"My person" - This is just dumb and sappy.
- "All of the feels" - It's a weird way of not showing emotion all while showing emotion.
"The struggle is real" - It sure is but we don't have to say it.
Look, a few of these social media phrases were cute at one time and served their purpose a few years ago. Now, it's time to let them go.
Remember that this is coming from a guy who grew up using phrases like "rad" and "gnarly."
