Another day, another cancellation. The annual 'Cheeseburger in Caseville Festival' has been cancelled due to COVID-19. What started as a 3 day event in 1999, has grown to 10 days and brought thousands of people to Caseville every August.

The annual 'Parade Of Fools' runs well over two hours, and attract over 80,000 people. Are you kidding me? Now that is what you call a great turnout. I am guessing there is a lot more to see at this parade than just clowns. Unfortunately I will have to wait until next year to see what all the hype is about. The festival offers live music, and of course cheeseburgers too. Well, except for this year.

You can however still support some Caseville businesses. According to WNEM, you can visit Caseville for 'Slice of Cheeseburger'. This event will be done on a much smaller scale and will follow current Michigan coronavirus executive orders. Patrons can check out a car show, vendors, and take part in a golf outing. The 'Best Cheeseburger' competition is still a go. 'Slice of Cheeseburger' will run August 14th through August 23rd.

If you can't make it to Caseville for a cheeseburger, take the short trip to Timothy's Pub in Flint. Home to three of my 'Burgers and Brews' first place burgers,

There is also an A-List Burger on the menu. That would have been a first place burger too, but in 2019 voting was cancelled. I think everyone was jealous. I was super bummed we could not host 'Burger and Brews' this year. Trust me, Timothy's Pub and I will be creating another award winning burger for 2021.
