What’s the Deal? Is Billy Bob’s Market Still Coming to Grand Blanc?

We've been hearing for months that Billy Bob's Market is coming to Grand Blanc. There's even a sign on Dort Highway that says 'Coming Soon.' However, some people are starting to wonder if it's really going to happen.

Back in December of last year, we first told you about Billy Bob's Market coming to Grand Blanc. This one-stop shop, offering gas, pizza, beer, liquor, meat, fruit, vegetables, salads, sandwiches, and more, is set to open in the former Grand Blanc Inn (GBI) location on Dort Highway.

MLive reported in January that Billy Bob’s Country Market would open alongside a Marathon gas station at 5313 S. Dort Hwy. in Grand Blanc Township around May. Well, May has come and gone, and here we are approaching September with still no Billy Bob's.

I've noticed people commenting on social media over the past few weeks about how long it's taking. Relax, everyone—it's in the works.

While we fully understand that these things take time, it seems they’re way off from when they originally planned to open. However, we are starting to see some progress. For example, this week I saw some guys putting on a new metal roof and a construction truck in the parking lot. That's a good sign, right?
