According to ABC12, someone passing by noticed something suspicious in the water and called authorities. The body of a man was discovered northwest of the park in a branch of the Flint River. Police are still working to figure out how who the man is and how he died. An autopsy will be performed at a later date.

He was found floating face down wearing a white shirt, black shorts, and a red colored backpack.
