Lightning Rounds Restaurant in Lapeer Announces Closure

Lightning Rounds, a restaurant in Lapeer, is closing this week. Owner Patrick Hingst announced the news on social media.

Located at 266 Lake Nepessing Road in Lapeer, Lightning Rounds opened in December 2023, with an official grand opening in March 2024.

The motto from the beginning was fresh food and fun times, and that is exactly what the staff delivered.

From food and live entertainment to kids’ activities and the Lapeer FREEdom Fest, Lightning Rounds brought a wide variety of events to Lapeer County.

Hingst is also the owner of Woodchips BBQ in downtown Lapeer. Earlier this year, he announced that both businesses were being put up for sale.

When will Lightning Rounds in Lapeer officially close?

The last day is this Friday, June 26th, 2026.
