I'll be honest, North Branch isn't exactly the first place that comes to mind when you think of a destination brewery.

That's why Bottom Creek caught my attention.

At first, I assumed it was just another small-town brewery, but I couldn't have been more wrong. This place looks like it's going to be much more than somewhere to grab a beer. In fact, it might end up being one of the coolest new destinations in Lapeer County.

 What Is Bottom Creek?

If you're picturing a small brewery tucked away in the country, think bigger. Much bigger.

Bottom Creek will feature a brewery, restaurant, event space, outdoor pavilion, hiking trails, scenic views, wildlife, and hundreds of acres to explore.

Not to mention, more than 15 bison roam the property.

Yeah, when have you ever seen something like that at a brewery in Michigan?

Look, it might sound like I'm trying to sell you on this place, but I'm really not. Between the brewery, restaurant, trails, wildlife, and even bison, it kind of sells itself.

When Is Bottom Creek Opening in North Branch?

If you'd like to check it out for yourself, Bottom Creek is located at 5772 Old State Road in North Branch. The grand opening is set for Saturday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The event will feature food, drinks, live music, a bouncehouse, and plenty of opportunities for people to check out the new property for themselves.

If the food is good, the beer is solid, and they start bringing in live music and festivals, I could easily see people from Genesee County, Lapeer County, and beyond making the trip.
