The announcement was made via the Friday Night Bikes Facebook page and reads as follows,

It's almost time y'all!!! This year, something different... Something more personal.... No price gouging at the bars.... More seating.... No long ass line to get into a restaurant to eat...... A new location, Same badass party..... A place for bikers, created by bikers! We've got live entertainment, The best Vendors, and Food trucks!! Introducing Smok'n Whisk'ez.... Our home this year!! It's almost ready..
Grand opening is June 3rd for the blessing!!! Can't wait to see you all, it's been too long!!! Let's make this the best year yet!!!!!
You can see the official Facebook post below. The group behind the event promises the same great party just at a new location, which is at 1689 North Branch Road (a former trucking company). To clear up some confusion, Friday Night Bikes is organized by a group called Bikers, Beers, and Brats. They partnered with the Lapeer DDA last year to host the event in Lapeer. According to James Alt, Executive Director of the Lapeer DDA, there are still plans to have a bike night downtown Lapeer this summer too. Those details are still being worked out.
