Showtime's 'Californication' will premiere its sixth season in January 2013 and we will finally learn the fate of everyone's favorite drunk author/ladies man after last year's cliffhanger ending.

When last season of 'Californication' ended, the fate of Hank Moody (David Duchovny) was unknown. He had been drugged by his psycho ex-girlfriend and things weren't looking too good. The show isn't 'Lost,' so we can just go ahead and tell you that he does survive, but not without some complications.

Judging from the trailer, it would appear that Hank spends at least the beginning of the season boozing hard to forget the events of the season 5 finale. Other things to expect this year are a stint in rehab (although not a serious one), Hank working with more fake and real rock stars -- Marilyn Manson is among the latter of the two -- and Hank's best friend, agent and continual screw up, Charlie Runkle (Evan Handler), will pretend to be gay to land another major client.

In short, it sounds like we can expect a whole lot more of what makes this show so much fun -- boozing, raunchy humor and hot chicks. Season 6 of 'Californication' premieres Sunday, January 13th at 10:30p on Showtime.
