Which Car Colors and Brands Do Birds Poop On the Most?
Do you find that no matter where you park, birds are always pooping on your vehicle? Well, there may be more to it than simply bad luck or parking under the wrong tree.
Which Car Colors Get Pooped On the Most
A new survey from Study Finds shows that some cars seem to attract more bird crap than others. It turns out the darker the vehicle, the harder it’s going to get splattered. Yup, brown, red, and black vehicles are getting nailed the most. Lighter colors like white and silver are a little safer, but honestly, no one’s totally safe.
Which Car Brands Do Birds Target the Most
We’re not sure why, but some brands also seem to be prime targets. Ram, Jeep, and Chevy drivers report the most frequent bird attacks. Whether it’s the shape, their popularity, or just plain bad luck, those vehicles sit at the top of the list. Just keep in mind, there’s no real science behind this study.
The survey also showed that cleaning up after birds isn’t cheap. Nearly a quarter of drivers said they spend over $500 a year on car washes or paint repairs caused by bird poop. I used to have a black truck and finally gave up after the birds in my neighborhood kept crapping on it. It was getting too expensive to keep running it through the car wash.

Bird poop contains uric acid, which can actually eat through paint if it’s not cleaned up quickly. So, if your car’s a lease, you’ll definitely want to keep it clean.
Your best move is to avoid parking under trees, wires, or light poles.
