By now, you've probably noticed that Kentucky Fried Chicken on Pierson Road in Mt. Morris Township is gone and something new is standing in its place.

The national restaurant chain, Charleys Cheesesteaks is coming to Pierson Road in Mt. Morris Township, and they're almost ready to open their doors to the public.

This isn't the first Charleys Cheesesteaks in Genesee County. There used to be a location in the Genesee Valley Center if I'm not mistaken but it closed a few years ago.

Formerly known as Charley's Steakery and Charley's Grilled Subs, Charleys Cheesesteaks was established in 1986 on the campus of Ohio State University. You'll find less than ten locations in Michigan but over 600 around the globe.

What Kind of Food Can You Get at Charleys Cheesesteaks?

Obviously, with "Cheesesteak" in the name, cheesesteaks are their specialty. You can get the following at Charleys Cheesesteaks.

  • Chicken Buffalo
  • Chicken California
  • Steak Philly Cheesesteak
  • Bacon 3 Cheesesteak
  • Chicken Teriyaki
  • Veggie Delight
  • Chicken Philly

They also carry a variety of wings, sides, and frozen treats.

When Will Charleys Cheesesteaks Open?

According to MLive, they're currently waiting for an inspection but plan to open within a few weeks.

The new Charleys Cheesesteaks is located at 4335 Pierson Rd in Mt. Morris Township.

They Offer Drone Delivery?

Yes, but unfortunately delivery service like that is only available at their location in Durham, North Carolina. Customers can get their food delivered to their backyards within three minutes on average. Now, that's freaking cool.

These Michigan Restaurants Have All Sadly Closed Since Appearing on National TV

You'd think an appearance on a national TV show like Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives or Restaurant: Impossible would guarantee success for a restaurant.

That hasn't been the case for these six restaurants, all of which have closed after being featured on national television.
