Detroit Red Wings Hosting Helmet Design Contest For Michigan Kids
If you are a parent, chances are your refrigerator is covered in artwork created by your kid(s). Why not give your kid the opportunity to display their talent for millions of people to see?
The Detroit Red Wings are hosting an awesome contest that will do just that. Michigan kids ages 5 to 15 years old, have the opportunity to design a goalie helmet. The winning design will be picked by Red Wings goalie Jonathan Bernier. Not only will Bernier choose the winner, he will wear the winning design during a game in April 2021.
According to WXYZ the winning design must be creative, original, and of course embrace a Detroit Red Wings theme. The contest (#MIKidsCan) is explained in further detail below,
CREATE YOUR OWN RED WINGS GOALIE HELMET DESIGN
Have you ever wanted to design your own goalie mask, like the ones that our Red Wings goalies wear on the ice? Now's your chance, courtesy of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
Red Wings fans aged 5-15 in the state of Michigan are invited to send us your best goalie helmet design, and Red Wings goalie Jonathan Bernier will pick his favorite and wear the winning mask in a live game.
After the game, Bernier will autograph the winning helmet with your design for you to keep. The contest runs through the end of February, so make sure to submit your design soon.
This is such a cool thing for Michigan kids to be a part of. I do not have any kids, but I will definitely be sending this information to my niece and nephews. Someone is going to win - why not one of them? Or your kid of course. Click here to access a helmet template, and good luck.
