For the first time in years, American Idol is coming to Michigan to find its next Idol winner. Do you have what it takes to be the next American Idol?

The hit reality television series which moved to ABC last year is holding open auditions starting tomorrow at 10 am at the TCF Center which also was known as Cobo Center which is located in downtown Detroit at 1 Washington Blvd.

Aspiring singers will have a chance to show off singing talents in front of producers. Be prepared to wait as the anticipation of the season will bring everyone out of the woods to try to make it big. The last time Idol was in Michigan was in 2013 when roughly around 8,000 people showed up to the auditions. Jena Irene who was a native of Farmington Hills came in second that season.

If this sounds like you then you can pre-register here and see if you meet the requirements. Don't worry Maggie is not trying out this season. That just means we have to continue to hear her sing at the station.
