Drink Up! Michigan’s Founders Brewing Co. Has New KBS Flavor
Looks like we have a new Founders beer flavor to try.
Not even five years ago, I couldn't stand dark, craft brews. I just couldn't develop a taste for them. However, nowadays, I love trying pretty much any and every type of craft beer I can find. It's much like coffee, you have to give them a chance and get used to them before you can really enjoy them.
Now that I love dark beers, Founders Brewing Co.'s KBS has become one of my favorites. So I was extremely happy to see that they announced the new KBS Hazelnut. Just like their original KBS, the new KBS Hazelnut packs a 12% ABV punch, so it doesn't take much to get you feeling just right.
The new Founders Brewing Co. KBS Hazelnut is a bourbon barrel-aged chocolate coffee stout. Founders has described it as silky and full-bodied with notes of vanilla, cocoa, roasted coffee, and charred oak.
According to the Founders availability calendar, this new KBS Hazelnut will be available in March. I also tried to search for places that have it but unfortunately, I was unable to confirm any through their website. If you want to give it a shot, you might want to call around to your favorite stores to see when and if they will be carrying it. If you do happen to find some, let me know! And don't forget that Founders also offers beer delivery. You can check that out here.
