Family of Slain Flint Boy Invites Public to Funeral
On October 22, 3-year-old Messiah "Ty Ty" Williams was killed after three people opened fire on his family's home on Oklahoma Avenue in Flint. The poor little boy was struck in the head while sleeping in his bed which was sitting next to a window.
The family is now inviting the public to his funeral visitation.
According to MLive, Public visitation of Messiah “Ty-Ty” Williams is today from 2:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral home, 1480 E. Hill Drive in Grand Blanc. A procession from the funeral home to The River Church, 8393 E. Holly Road in Holly, is at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, where visitation will commence at 3 p.m. The funeral service itself is to begin at the church at 4 p.m.
Messiah’s mother, Jessica Bader made a statement to MLive which was directed at her late boy:
My sweet baby boy, Momma loves you so much. I miss hearing your innocent voice every time I walked in the door. You were always the first one to jump in my arms and tell me how much you loved me. I know you will be watching over us every day, and every time I look at the sun, I will know that’s your big, bright smile saying, 'I love you, Momma. You will forever be my baby. Fly high, Ty-Yy.
It's all so heartbreaking and frustrating at the same time because as of right now, police still haven't made any arrests and have no new information.
The boy's father believes the shooters were targeting a live-in babysitter.
