February 1st Should Be a Michigan Holiday – Welcome Back to Indoor Dining
Is anyone else thinking about taking Monday, February 1st off of work?
Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced during a press conference today, that Michigan restaurants will be able to resume indoor dining on February 1, 2021. I am sure there will be guidelines that will have to be followed by patrons and staff (masks), but nonetheless - I am beyond excited to be able to actually eat inside of my favorite restaurants again.
If you feel the same way, let's plan our attack. What bar & grill and or restaurant is first on your list to visit? I know a lot of places have been able to stay open for carryout, but many have not. The first place that comes to my mind is Timothy's Pub. I really miss the crew at Timothy's, and I miss the food too. You can bet, I will be at Timothy's Pub on February 1st, for one of my award winning burgers, a beer, and a tequila shot(s).
Next on my list will be The Burger Bar and Tap. If everything goes according to plan, we will be able to order to go food before then, and hopefully by February 1st, the new owners will be ready for indoor service.
My next indoor dining experience will be in the form of brunch at The Corner Bar. Come Sunday, February 7th - I will be first in line. Bring on the avocado toast, and a Pennington (best drink ever).
That is just a few of the places I will be going. What about you, where are you most looking forward to going? Be sure to let me know, and I look forward to seeing you back inside of our favorite local places.
