Fenton Bar Closes After 20 Years In Business

A Genesee County bar abruptly closed its doors after 20 years in business.

Inquring minds want to know why Joe & Lewie's Penalty Box closed so suddenly. From all accounts (social media), it appears the building has been purchased by McLaren.

Joe & Lewie's Penalty Box opened on Owen Road in Fenton in April 2004. Long time Fenton residenets may remember the location as the Great Fenton Inn.

Did you frequent Joe & Lewie's Penalty Box? What are your thoughts on the sudden closure? We certainly wish the staff well, and hope they are able to find employment fast.

There are still plenty of bars and or restaurants in Fenton to visit, including The Corner Bar & Grill, The Railyard, The Fireplace, and the soon to open Leroy's Lounge, just to name a few.
