Great Time For A Great Cause – Annual Fenton Polar Plunge 2022

This truly is one of the coolest (or should I say coldest) parties of the year. The annual Polar Plunge on Lake Fenton to benefit Special Olympics will be happening in February.

If you are not familiar with this event, it is definitely one of the most fun and unique ways to raise funds for Special Olympics Michigan. Anyone is welcome to take the plunge, but you do need to register ahead of time. Here is everything you need to know about Fenton Polar Plunge 2022.

What exactly is a Polar Plunge?

A polar bear plunge is an event held during the winter where participants enter a body of water despite the low temperature. Yes, you read that right - participants will indeed be jumping into Lake Fenton. Typically all participants are dressed in costumes.

When is the Fenton Polar Plunge?

The plunge happens on Saturday, February 5th. The party starts at 11:00 AM, with the plunge happening at 1:00 PM. Take it from me - the party definitely continues after the plunge is complete.

Where does the event take place?

The Fenton Polar Plunge happens at the Fenton Moose Lodge located at 2245 Sonara Drive in Fenton, just off of North Long Lake Road.

Do I have to be a member of the Fenton Moose Lodge to attend this event?

No, the public is welcome on plunge day. However, as a member myself I can tell you membership has its privileges. I love having dinner and drinks at the Fenton Moose. See how cool the Fenton Moose Lodge is for yourself at the Polar Plunge.

If I want to participate in the Polar Plunge this year, what do I need to do?

Register. You can plunge alone, possibly join an existing team, or register your own team. You can register here now, and pre-register in person at the Fenton Moose Lodge on Friday, February 4th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. You do not have to plunge to make a difference, donations are accepted as well here.

Is there a fee for teams or individual participants? 

There is no cost to participate, however, all plungers must fundraise at least $100 to receive this year’s official plunge sweatshirt. The goal is for each team and or individual to raise funds for Michigan Special Olympics prior to the event.
