For those looking to enjoy some downtown Fenton action, the Fenton Street Experience returns this summer.

Early last week the Fenton City Council approved some updates that will allow for the Fenton Street Experience to once again help businesses in downtown Fenton. On certain times and dates throughout the summer, some streets will be closed down to allow for greater use of area businesses.

When will the streets be closed down for the Fenton Street Experience this summer?

Starting on May 20th and 21st, certain streets in downtown Fenton will be closed down on Thursday and Friday evenings from 5 pm until 9 pm. The city will be allowing restaurants and bars to use the sidewalks during the week and the streets and sidewalks during the times just mentioned.

The Fenton Street Experience will start on May 20th and continue every Thursday and Friday through October 14th and October 15th.

What streets will be closed for the Fenton Street Experience?

These are the streets that will be affected:

  • Shiawassee Avenue from Adelaide Street to LeRoy Street
  • LeRoy Street from Shiawassee Avenue to Caroline Street

During the Fenton Street Experience, no parking will be allowed on closed streets and the city will maintain a 12-foot safety lane for emergency vehicles.

I love downtown Fenton and can't wait to go check out the Fenton Street Experience. Maggie also lives in Fenton so don't be surprised to see us out in the streets checking out the bars and restaurants there a couple of times this summer. Cheers to a great summer ahead!
