Fenton’s Only Outdoor Concert Of The Summer Is This Thursday
Fenton will be hosting its only concert of the summer this Thursday, August 12th with Itchycoo Park. Many of you know the lead singer of the band already - the one and only Marlow Morgan.
The free show takes place downtown at the Fenton Gazebo on the river (just off of South Leroy Street). Itchycoo Park will be playing from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. If you are not familiar with the band, they cover music from the late 1960's and early 1970's. If you don't know Marlow or any of the guys in the band, I can tell you firsthand they put on one hell of a show.
You'll hear music from The Kinks, Janis Joplin, The Doors, Rare Earth, Jefferson Airplane, The Who and more. Feel free to bust out your bell bottoms and sing along throughout the night. This show is nonstop energy.
This again is a free show, and all ages are welcome. Feel free to bring a blanket or a chair to use on the lawn. I also recommend heading downtown Fenton early and grabbing dinner or a drink. There are a lot of spots with walking distance to the Fenton Gazebo including, El Topo, Ciao Italian Bistro, The Fenton Pub, Crust, The Fenton Hotel, and The Laundry. There is also a great ice cream shop close by called The Scoop of Fenton, and they do serve boozy milkshakes.
Summer is going fast. Treat yourself to a night of great music and fun - you deserve it.
