It is not so much the fact that councilwoman Ladel Lewis called out people who do not vote, but that she called them 'Janky'.

As you will see in the Facebook Live video below, councilwoman Ladel Lewis didn't just call out 'janky' people who did not vote, she sings about many things that are janky because of the non-voters. If you are unfamiliar with the word 'janky', councilwoman Ladel did post a definition of the word on her Facebook page,

Since the video was posted, many people have shared it. Not all of the videos shared on TikTok and Facebook show the entire 2:18 video. Some of these videos do not show the very beginning, the part where Lewis dedicates her song to 'non-voters in Flint'.

A lot of the videos being shared on social media give the idea that she is calling Flint residents in general 'janky'. You make your own assumption after you watch the entire video.

As you can imagine, social media is having a ball with this video, one person even referred to the councilwoman's song as a hit single. I am not going to lie, it will be stuck in your head after you listen.

So what are your thoughts, was the Flint councilwoman completely out of line, or right on the money?
