A fireworks tent was stolen in Flint, and the owners seek public assistance to identify the thief.

The crime happened on Monday, July 7th, 2025, on Dort Highway between 5:00 PM and 5:10 PM. The 801 Fireworks tent was set up in the parking lot of the Dort Mall.

The tent that was stolen is shown in the photos above and a Facebook post below. Take a good look, someone out there has seen it, and any detail could help identify where it ended up or who took it.

A description of the suspects and the alleged vehicle involved is as follows,

  • Older White Male
  • Two Teen Males
  • Rusted Chevy Tan/Gold Suburban

I mean, who steals a massive tent in broad daylight and actually thinks they’ll get away with it? What’s the plan here, start a traveling sideshow? Sell it to a struggling circus troupe? It's not exactly the kind of thing you can just toss in your trunk and resell on Facebook Marketplace.

810 Fireworks is a locally owned and operated business, and stuff like this just hits different when it happens to people in your community. I am really hoping someone in Genesee County (or beyond) knows who did this and helps the owners get their tent back.

If you know anything, no matter how small, that could help with the investigation, please don’t hesitate to speak up. You can reach out to the Flint Police Department directly, get in touch with 810 Fireworks LLC, or share what you know anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

Every tip could make a difference in helping the owners get some answers.
