Nobody is going to say that Flint is out of the woods yet, but things may be turning around.  General Motor big wigs announced today that 235 previously part time employees are now full time workers, and 82 new temporary jobs would be created at the Flint Assembly Plant.

Most of the jobs are paying around $16 an hour with full benefits and are available as a results of retirements and trainees leaving the plant.  The plant employees work on Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks, and hopefully the jobs help local businesses and the surrounding community.
