This Tiny but Awesome Airbnb Sits on the Water Near Traverse City
Stay in an Airbnb houseboat this summer on Lake Ann which is near Traverse City, Michigan.
If you're looking to unplug and experience an intimate outdoor getaway, this Airbnb houseboat will be right up your alley.
You'll seriously stay on the water in what the hosts call "The Loveboat Retreat." It's a super tiny houseboat that comes equipped with a dry kitchen, a double murphy bed, a small onboard toilet, and lots of outdoor deck space.
Can You Drive the Houseboat?
Yes, you'll be the captain of this little functioning houseboat. You can take it into the middle of Lake Ann to do some swimming or fishing. If you'd prefer, you can do nothing at all, just float around and chill.
There's also a base camp and dock where you keep the houseboat when you're not floating around the lake. At the base camp, there's a porta-potty, outdoor shower, and even a firepit.
I would love to sit on the deck of that houseboat at night and just watch the stars. I bet the middle of Lake Ann is perfect for stargazing.
How Much Does it Cost?
To stay in the Airbnb houseboat, it's only $125 per night. Keep in mind, there's only room for two people.
Where is Lake Ann?
Lake Ann, Michigan is a little village about 15 minutes west of Traverse City and 15 minutes East of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
Earlier this month, I rented an Airbnb for the first time ever when we went to the I-500 in Sault Ste. Marie. It's 100% the way to go, I don't think I'd want to stay in a hotel ever again.
