Flushing Community Schools Ranked 14th Safest in Michigan [VIDEO]

In the wake of the Florida school shooting, it seems like every school around the nation is receiving more threats. I've heard about quite a few just in the Genesee County area alone. 

Schools in the area have been on high alert and taking every threat very seriously and acting quickly. While it can be very unsettling for us parents, as this can happen anywhere, I do take comfort in the diligent job that teachers and school staff are doing with these situations.

According to niche.com, Flushing Community Schools ranks number 14 on the safest schools in Michigan. Expulsions, crime statistics, and parent-student surveys are what this ranking was based on.

Birmingham Public Schools top the list at number one. When it comes to schools in the area, Lapeer took the number 22 spot and Genesee Intermediate School District at number 60. The rest of the school rankings are on the complete list here.
