It's hard to go anywhere anymore without seeing some dude sporting a huge magnificent full beard.

According to a recent study, full beards are the most popular beard style in Michigan. This trend has been in Michigan for quite some time so the results don't surprise me one bit. What does surprise me is how popular other styles are in other states. I'm talking about a variety that includes the Fu Man Chu, Mutton Chops, Soul Patch and so many others that I had no idea are truly "popular."

To celebrate all beards, join me this Friday for 'Beards & Beers' in the outdoor village at The Genesee Valley Center. We're creating a "Beard Garden" in the area between Wahlburgers, Bar Louie and Mo Pete's. There'll be outdoor seating, games and entertainment. You'll also find beer, burger happy hour specials, vendors and strolling entertainment. This is a free event, so no charge at the gate.

As a huge bonus, I'll be giving away a pair of tickets to see Slipknot this Monday (12th) at DTE, plus you'll score passes to meet the band. You can only sign up between 6-7pm, the winner will be drawn at 7p.
