Genesee Valley Center in Flint Township has three newer businesses open, along with one recent closure.

Modern Nails closed at the mall in December 2025. If my count is correct, this leaves roughly 20 open stores at Genesee Valley Center, not including kiosks.

There are no food options inside the mall.

From what I am told, a few of the newer businesses at Genesee Valley Center include the following,

  • Gold and Diamond (where Rogers & Hollands Jewelers was)
  • Royal Diamonds (where Zales was)
  • Fix Zone (former Cellairis kiosk)

Did you know Genesee Valley Center welcomes walkers? During the cold winter months, it’s an ideal indoor space to stay active. Walking the full length of the mall covers about one mile, according to the mall website.

The main entrance opens at 11:00 AM Monday through Saturday and at noon on Sundays, ensuring that walkers can begin their route at a consistent and accessible time each day.

Genesee Valley Center is at 3341 South Linden Road in Flint Township, 48507.

Some of you may remember when the mall first opened in 1970. Since then, the Genesee Valley Center has gone through several renovations and ownership changes

Many longtime visitors may remember the iconic frog that once resided inside Genesee Valley Center. In 2004, the frog was moved to Applewood in Flint, where it has remained a favorite attraction for both children and adults alike.

We will keep you updated on any future announcements regarding Genesee Valley Center.
