Give Your Significant Other A Break On Valentine’s Day
Valentine's Day is this Sunday, February 14th. If you are in a relationship, will you be celebrating? When I say 'celebrate', I guess what I am asking is if you will be buying your significant other a card, candy, flowers, or something bigger?
I am in a relationship, and do not expect a gift from my boyfriend Nick. I think the last few years he has given me a card, but again - I expect nothing. If I remember, I may grab him a candy bar or something, but there is no big plan in place to buy him a giant candy shaped heart or anything like that. We do nice things for each other, year round (insert puke noise here). Oh wait, I just remembered I have a brunch reservation with my buddy Bill on Sunday, not Nick.
So what about you? Are you a better girlfriend or boyfriend than me - and are actually planning on spending the day with your significant other? Will you go to brunch, or maybe serve breakfast in bed (insert puke noise again)? You don't have to spend a fortune to make your guy or girl feel special. After all, isn't it the thought that counts?
Or you can be like me, and leave your partner alone for the day. Trust me, he or she will really appreciate it, I know my Nick does.
